During my recent gourmet getaway at Explorers Lodge, I was impressed by the culinary innovation and the tranquil ambiance of the dining areas. Breakfast, served in a charming section of the lodge not typically accessible to guests, proved to be a highlight. With a group of more than six, we were treated to a meticulously prepared cooked and continental breakfast featuring local produce and their own chicken eggs. The cooked breakfast menu, uniformly delightful for all guests, crafted a pleasing start to our days. We dined on perfectly cooked scrambled eggs and crisp local bacon, complemented by house-made jams that showcased the flavors of the region. The setting-a terrace overlooking a serene garden-enhanced the experience, making each meal a peaceful retreat. The amenity of a cosy guest lounge with a gas fire was a welcoming touch. I recommend this establishment for anyone seeking a culinary experience paired with comfort in New Norfolk.
